Interstate 10
Interstate 10 is the longest route of this region of the country as it connects El Paso, TX to Jacksonville, FL on the Atlantic Coast. This is also often referred to as the Gulf Coast route as it is close to the shores, once you are east of Houston. The advantage this route has over others is the range of natural and cultural landscapes along the trail from the barren region of West Texas to the swamps of east Texas and Southern Louisiana to the Piney Woods throughout Mississippi, Alabama and northern Florida.
