To become a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas, those without a nursing background must complete a state-accredited Texas RN program and pass the national NCLEX-RN examination.
All states are required to both approve and maintain official registered nurse (RN) nursing programs. The Texas Board of Nursing has been regulating nursing programs for over 100 years, and is the governmental body responsible for approving RN TX schools.
